Mike and Kasey decided on Interstate State Park for their engagement session. We lucked out with some incredible weather on this day. Fresh snow covered the landscape and sun filled the sky. I kept an eye on the weather forecast and we decided to push the session back a day for warmer weather and the chance of a good golden hour. Needless to say we made the right call. I arrived to the park an hour ahead of schedule to scout out some locations I had visited years prior when I was doing landscape photography here. The extra effort paid off as i found to epic overlook locations high up on a cliff looking into the river valley. We took full advantage of these spots and even had them all to ourselves despite multiple other engagement sessions happening. That’s one of the big benefits of hiring me as your photographer with my extensive landscape photography background. I’m very adventurous and go the extra mile to find those epic locations for you. I also see the landscapes in a different way than portrait/wedding photographers because of my background. Mike and Kasey didn’t hesitate either to explore these locations with me to maximize the beauty of Interstate State Park. Here’s a few of my absolute favorites from this incredible engagement session.
